Water Quality Enhancement Programme  Back to Main ]

Sanitary survey is a programme conducted to assess the general impact that human activities have on raw water resources and their corresponding quality. It is also carried out to access the efficiency of the plants’ treatment process corresponding to the raw water components as well as the treated water quality in the distribution lines.

  • A cross-sectional study with MOH and the respective District Health Office of the overall water supply chain from the catchment, treatment process and distribution system which provides for the opportunity of auditing the whole process. It provides the platform to analyze if the water treated and supplied to the consumer is safe for consumption.

  • Determine and rectified weaknesses and deficiencies in SYABAS operations & maintenance of water supply system's components e.g reservoirs and sampling point box (SPA)
